What a brilliant day out! I'€™m sorry if you missed it but I a€™m proud of those who were there. We had around 150 people involved throughout the day, the majority as steely, sweaty competitors. Whether running or walking a total of around a million metres were covered by all of those taking part!

Well done to everyone who had a part in it. If you were competing, encouraging or socialising it all added to a terrific atmosphere throughout the day. And if you forgot to put on suntan lotion like me, you still have a vest shaped tan to prove it.

So far we have raised over £1000 towards John Betts Primary School building a brand new playground for their kids. Building has already commenced!

I’d like to thank everyone whose efforts ensured the success of the event. The team captains, their runners and their supporters were awesome. A huge thank you to Andrew Nunn and Associates as our main sponsors on the great support. The Running School at The Park Club for their generous prizes, thanks Matt and the guys. Massive thanks to Ruth and Crucial Food for their kind prizes and support. And those energy shots at the start line.. Woof! Big thanks to Threshold Sports for the energy fuel too. We are also grateful to Nestle for the all important water. Finally to Sarah and all those at John Betts who contributed to the day, congratulations and good luck with the playground!

Other important numbers from the day:

The youngest and oldest competitors were separated by 68 years! Inspiration.

Winning team was the John Betts School Team at 4:51:37! Perspiration.

Fastest lap of the day - 29:02! Rapid Nation.

Most laps completed by one person - 6! Yes that is more than a marathon. Hyperventilation.

Well done everyone. See you all at the next challenge!
