Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a technique aimed at restoring mechanical and physical dysfunction, using gentle Osteopathic manipulation, stretching and neuro-muscular massage. A detailed case history and physical examination is carried out and involves looking at postural change, passive and active examination of the spine and limbs, and an assessment of abnormal joint pain.

Jan Thoeye works as an Osteopath and Acupuncturist. He was trained as an Osteopath at the College of Osteopathic Medicine in Boston (USA), and trained as an Acupuncturist with The College of Chinese Medicine in Naking, China,

Having worked as a Consultant Osteopath/ Acupuncturist for Marks & Spencer, head office in Baker Street, Jan joined The Hogarth Clinic, some fifteen years ago.

The following conditions are amenable to Osteopathy:

Low back pain Strains, sprains and sports injuries, Neck and shoulder problems, Wry neck, Frozen shoulder Neuritis and neuralgia, “Slipped disc, Myalgia, Non-specific back pain

Other problems include: Dizziness, Asthma, Constipation, Bronchial and catarrhal problems, Headache and migraine, Insomnia Depression

Hayfever Asthma and Bronchitis Insomnia Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Dysmenorrhoea, Eczema and Psoriasis Shingles and post Herpetic pain, Early morning sickness, Trigeminal neuralgia Facial palsy and paralysis after stroke
