NEW - OUTDOOR GYM AREA Bookable in 30 minute slots

In line with government guidelines, we are delighted to be able to offer access to 2m x 2m pods in our outdoor gym area at the club from 1 July 2020. Sessions are 30 minutes in length, bookable online between 8am and 8pm for ONE MEMBER ONLY, with one session per member per day.

The Outdoor Gym is available to ALL Hogarth members that are temporarily frozen at no charge.

BEFORE YOU COME BACK… 

1. Consider whether you are ready physically and mentally to get out and onto the court. Consider your own personal risks and be able to confirm you are "fit" to play by confirming you have read and understood the Health Commitment Statement at https://www.thehogarth.co.uk/health-commitment-statement. You agree not to participate if you have any existing or new medical conditions. You understand that you exercise at your own risk and you are ultimately responsible for your own general health and wellbeing. 

2. Are you experiencing COVID-like symptoms? Or have you recently been in close contact to anyone suspected or confirmed to have the virus? If so, it is absolutely vital that you stay indoors and self isolate at home to stop the spread of the virus and for you to fully recover.

WHEN AND HOW CAN I BOOK?

From Wednesday 1 July at 8:00am, we will be opening bookings online to use the dumbbells, barbbells and benches in small 2m x 2m areas in the outdoor workout areas. Each session will be 30 minutes long. There will be a maximum of 1 participants per session and it is crucial that we adhere to Social Distancing and stay safe. 

These bookings will be made via our brand new online booking system. To do so, you will first need to register your online account.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. Your email address will be the one that you signed up to the club with or what you most recently updated us with.
2. Our rule of booking a maximum of 7 days in advance still applies.
3. As spaces are limited we ask that you are considerate of other members and book only one class per week.

HOW MUCH IS IT ?

We will not be charging members (all of whom are on free freeze) access to the outdoor gym whilst the main Club is closed. We would like to make these available to our members to support you all where we can through this time. 

WHERE IS THE OUTDOOR GYM? 

Access to the outdoor gym is through the side gate to the front patio and to the left on the way towards the back tennis court.

WHAT SAFETY MEASURES ARE IN PLACE, AND WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO PROTECT THOSE AROUND ME? 

At the Hogarth we expect all participants to adhere to the following rules for use of the outdoor gym.  

WHAT WE ARE DOING:

• We are enforcing the 2 metre rule of social distancing at all times. 
• Any equipmnet that is toched must be cleaned before and after use by the participant with soapy water provided
• We have put up strict and clear social distancing signage 

WHAT YOU CAN DO: 

• Do not come to the club if you feel unwell.
• Do not come to the club if you or anyone in your household develops Covid-19 symptoms.
• Do wash your hands with your own hand sanitiser frequently
• Please be patient, polite and observe all notices, but of course if you have feedback for us please directly contact us.

ON THE DAY OF YOUR BOOKING

• Double check that you have the correct day and time

• Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds using soap before leaving. (Bring hand sanitiser too)

• Avoid using public transport.

• Arrive as close as possible to when you need to be there.

• Avoid touching gates, fences or anything that you wont be cleaning before and afterwards

• Allow others needing access to courts 2 metres space to pass 

• Ensure you leave the area promptly at the end of your session so that it is empty for the next particiapnt

• NO TOILET facilities will be available at the Club until 4 July 2020, so please plan accordingly!

• Do not congregate after your session. No extra-curricular or social activity should take place. Take aways drinks ONLY are available until 4 July.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

So that we are minimising the need for constant sanitising, there will be only be stainless steel or rubber weights and metal and vinyl benches which can be eaisly cleaned down after use. NPlease note, there will be no mats or other kit provided. 

You will need to provide all of your own equipment and make sure to clean them down before and after use. Please do not share any of your equipment. These include: 

• Hand sanitiser
• Towel to dry off with 
• Full water bottle - please note you will not be able to fill this up on site so be sure to bring an ample amount or purchase from takeaway bar.
• Make sure you take all of your belongings back home with you, as these will be disposed of if left.

CAN I PLAY MUSIC IN THE OUTDOOR GYM? 

NO. In consideration of our neighbours, only music played through headphones is permitted. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD? 

Use of the outdoor gym is at members own risk and members. We ask members to STOP training if the weather makes training unsafe in any way. We encourage you and all members wishing to take part in outdoor training to make sure they have suitable clothing.

Please note, no changing facilities are available – the main club remains CLOSED – so please bring your own towel but keep this on your person. Nothing must be shared. 

WHAT IF I WANT TO DRIVE? 

We encourage all members to walk or cycle to the Club and discourage use of public transport, which should be used for essential services only at this time. 

The car park will be available for class attendees as normal. Please do not leave your car at the Club. 

WHEN WILL THE MAIN CLUB REOPEN?

Please note that ALL other areas and facilities of the club are still closed. They are to remain closed until further instruction has been given by the Government and we deem ourselves ready to safely reopen.
