Laura Shave

Laura has been teaching yoga since 2003, after studying many practices Laura naturally gravitated towards Scaravelli Inspired yoga, she has also completed various massage and bodywork courses and last year completed her Pilates Mat 1&2 teacher training. She incorporates all the knowledge she has gained through the different principles and practices into her classes.

She dedicated herself to teaching after studying extensively in London and Los Angeles, where she completed her Teacher Training Certification in 2002. For her, teaching yoga was a natural progression from the deepening experience of her personal practice. She has studied a variety of disciplines including Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Sivananda before becoming inspired by the contemporary teachings of Ken Eyerman, Chloe Fremantle, also Monica Voss and John Stirk, who were both taught directly by Vanda Scaravelli.

Laura'€™s personal style is to work closely with clients to encourage exploration of individual flexibility and release. Drawing on her extensive knowledge she uses yoga postures (asanas) and breath-work (pranayama) to open the body's structure, dissolving deeply held tensions and stress, promoting and grounding the natural energy of the body, and encouraging a deep sense of relaxation and well-being.

Laura is also qualified in Bodywork and Indian Holistic Massage and is a member of the British Register of Complimentary Practitioners. She is a qualified Yoga for the Special Child yoga therapist working with children with specific requirements. Laura teaches privately and has regular classes at some of London's premier health clubs.
