Metcon is a high intensity interval based class that is a combination of strength training and cardio exercises, targeting your energy system and multiple muscle groups. Workouts are a combination of exercises like burpees, weightlifting, box jumping and rowing.
Taking part in Metcon will assist you in building lean muscles, burning calories and your body’s ability to perform and recover. Metcon training aims to improve your body’s ability to utilize different energy pathways (glycolytic and oxidative) to fuel your muscles.
Each class is designed and led by our very own skilled PT, Joe. Drawing inspiration from his own experiences and specialist areas including Hyrox and training for triathlons. He will guide you through a mix of strength and cardio exercises with varied intensity and rest periods.
