Adam's Brecon Beacons Ultra Marathon

During my time at the Hogarth I have taken part in many fundraising events. Going the extra mile for a great cause has not always been easy but it has been totally worth it. The 24hr Spinathons, painful. The 60km Relay Run, painful. The nude calendar, painful for anyone who saw it.

This time I am doing the The Brecon Beacons Ultra Marathon. It’s gonna have more pain than a French bakery. Going the extra 47 miles, in case you were wondering. Not flat, but up and down mountains in South Wales.

With your generous support I am fundraising for Hestia, a charity that provides 23 refuges across London for adults and children who have been victims of trauma and domestic abuse. There is a centre close to home at Hammersmith, which provides tremendous care in extremely tough circumstances.

Across the UK almost one million children are affected by domestic abuse every year, either directly through their own experience or indirectly by witnessing violence.

Hestia is dedicated to offer support through housing and emotional support as well as providing much needed fun days out for mothers and their children.

I have already been in training for a while now and with your backing I hope to get across the finish line on Saturday 16th November. If you see me on the Monday after I will be the one walking funny in the gym.

Thank you,

Adam x
