Autumn Nutrition

As the seasons are changing, so are things at The Hogarth Bar & Kitchen.

With autumn bringing cooler days, darker evenings, and a renewed appetite for something warm and satisfying, we’re introducing some new menu options designed around the flavours, ingredients, and nourishment we naturally crave at this time of year. Think comforting and healthful plates, packed with warming herbs, spices, wholesome grains, and seasonal vegetables. As always, the new additions are intended to make you feel good, whether you’re stopping by for a quick snack, refuelling with lunch after a workout, or taking a little more time over lunch.

Nutrition in Autumn.

As temperatures drop, our bodies naturally tend to crave food that feels more warming and satisfying, but that doesn’t mean healthy eating has to become more complicated or heavy.
Seasonal vegetables, wholegrains, quality proteins, healthy fats, and plenty of variety, all play a part in a balanced diet. Root vegetables, leafy greens, and grains can provide valuable nutrients while adding colour, texture, and substance to your meals. This season I want to bring your attention to the ‘Soup of the Day’ special, an option which provides plentiful amounts of fibre, vitamins, minerals, and hydration, in the most flavoursome way.  This is now available in a grab and go option if you have somewhere to be.

For anyone with an active lifestyle, what you eat is also an important part of supporting your goals. The right balance of carbohydrates, protein, fats, and micronutrients will vary depending on the type and intensity of exercise you’re doing, as well as your individual goals. We encourage members to talk to their gym instructors or trainers about which dishes could work best alongside their exercise plan. Whether you’re looking for something light, protein-rich, or higher carbohydrates, there are plenty of options to explore. Good food should work with your lifestyle, not against it!

Great food starts with great suppliers.

We’re also putting a greater focus on our local suppliers, including a new relationship with Wyndham’s Butchers, who have recently relaunched their shop on Chiswick High Road. Wyndham’s is a great family-run local butchers, who provide high-welfare, free-range, quality meat. You’ll find more Wyndham’s produce making its way onto the menu at The Hogarth Bar & Kitchen. Look out for their beef steak currently featuring in our protein bowls, or served on toasted sourdough, bringing a little of Chiswick’s local food community to your plate.
We have been sourcing the Steak that goes in to our Steak Sandwich from them for some time, but now also purchase a number of other meats including high-welfare pork sausages, and chicken breast meaning local food sourcing is across the whole menu.

Check out Wyndham’s Butchers website where you can see a number of recipes there for you, some of which you will find coming to The Hogarth.  Even better than website would be for you to pop in and say hi to the team, checking out their fantastic produce for your home as well as sampling it on the menu at The Hogarth.

So, as we head into autumn, come and discover what’s new at The Hogarth Bar & Kitchen.
A new season, a new menu, and a fresh chapter.

Best wishes,
