Hogarth Tennis Court Refurbishment Plan

We have been planning to do work on the tennis courts in October 2026, after the key tennis season, but have been advised that we need to bring this forward due to a deterioration and rippling of the front tennis court, and further subsidence at the far end of the back tennis court.

We have, accordingly, taken this advice and managed to source the products and services to crack on with the programme of refurbishment as follows:

FRONT TENNIS COURT

The Front Tennis Court will close on Monday 15 June to Friday 19 June inclusive.

The entire Astro surface will be removed. The court will be cleared and prepped and replaced with a new 2 tone green Astro and then re-sanded.

BACK TENNIS COURT

The Back Tennis Court will close on Monday 6 July to Friday 10 July inclusive.

This court has little wear compared to the front court so we intend to cut away the back area where subsidence has occurred, dig out the previous foundations, lay new ones including inserting an Egg Box Membrane backfilled with Type 3 Stone to arrest any movement and replace the Astro and re-sand.

To minimise disruption during the tennis season, the tennis fencing will be renewed in October / November 2026 to complete the works.
