NEW class in the gym - ROWING

Hi everyone, I'm Cat from the gym team.

I have such passion for rowing ever since I took up the sport last summer. I row for Putney Town Rowing club and my team are now racing against other clubs. I thoroughly enjoy the competitive mentality of working together as a team and continually progressing on technique and fitness levels.

With a desire to share my knowledge on Ergo Training and simple core and strengthening exercises that help with rowing I decided to start a new rowing class in the gym.

About this class:

  • We will learn about rowing technique, understanding the relationship between performance and proper technique
  • It is suitable for all levels, beginners welcome

  • Interesting, encouraging and full of variety in the classes
  • Variety of training methods to help with improving endurance and strength
  • Realise the importance of working as a team
  • Look at split time, rate and consistency
  • Getting the right power 70/30 ratio
  • Circuit training
  • Races

Rowing engages all major muscles of the body and works multiple joints through a large range of motion in a natural, powerful sequence in a no impact manner.

Class days and times

Tuesdays, 2-2.30pm and 7-7.30pm

Wednesdays, 10-10.30am
