NEW Immune Support drinks + health benefits

The Airedale Bar has curated a NEW Immune Support drinks menu - perfect for this time of year when our immune systems take a hit from the cold weather, post-Christmas stress, and changes in eating or fitness habits. The menu features Daily Dose cold-pressed juices, GENIE flavoured Kombucha and PRESS London's Vitamin shots. The café is open to members and non-members 8am - 3.30pm every day and open for drinks through to the late evening.

We've researched into every ingredient that you can find in these super tasty and healthy immune 'boosting' drinks to highlight the benefits of regularly incorporating them into your diet!

ORANGE

• Oranges contain vitamin C which help boost our immune system by protecting cells in our bodies and promoting the production and function of white blood cells which help fight infections.

APPLE

• Apple skins contain quercetin which helps reduce inflammation in your body.
• The soluble fibre in apples can help increase the rate of recovery from infections as it changes immune cells to act in an anti-inflammatory way.
• Apples contain soluble fibre which can reduce the risk of heart disease as it helps lower cholesterol levels.

CARROT

• Carrots contain vitamin C which help defend our immune system by building antibodies.

• Carrots contain potassium which can help keep our bodies blood pressure level well.

• Lemons contain vitamin C which are antioxidants that fight against free radicals that damage the cells in our bodies.

GINGER

• Ginger contains a natural oil called gingerol which has many antioxidant and anti- inflammatory properties which can help the immune system fight against infections.
• Gingerol can prevent the growth of certain bacteria. It is effective against inflammatory gum disease such as gingivitis.

TURMERIC

• Turmeric helps increase the growth of healthy bacteria in our stomach.
• Contains around 300 nutrients as well as curcumin which is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory chemical.
