Santa Run 2018 Review

It was winter. It was cold. It was amazing.

A sea of bearded, red runners took to the streets of Chiswick and Hammersmith as The Hogarth Santa Run made its return! And it was bigger than ever. Around 100 men, women, children and dogs could be seen pounding 4.5 mile two bridge run around Barnes and Hammersmith Bridges.

They were cheered on by supporters back at The Hogarth Club, where it was hosted from and where the mulled wine and mince pies awaited upon their return. So many kind members of the public cheered our competitors along the route too, which added to the festival feeling of the event.

It was in aid Shelter charity and we have raised more than £2000 so far. A special mention goes to Patrick Deehan who alone has raised £1000!! What a hero, thank you Patrick!

A big thanks also to all of our sponsors. Porsche Centre West London, KMG and Sweaty Betty you were awesome support, much appreciated.

Finally a big congrats to all the Santas. It was not a competitive run but a mighty fun one. People of all abilities ran or walked the route and everyone put in a big shift. Even those who stopped off in pubs along the way!

Look forward to seeing you next year. Merry Christmas!
