SANTA RUN 2025: A RECORD BREAKING YEAR!

Gym Manager and Event Organiser, Vojin Soskic summarises the event and thanks all involved that made the fundraiser such a success!

It was red. It was dry. It was without a yellow weather warning this time! Following 2024 and Storm Darragh, our one wish this Christmas was for the weather to play nice.

RECORD BREAKING YEAR

A record breaking year for the Hogarth Santa Run with over 200 Santas signed up to the annual fun, festivities and rapidly failing suits. Our headline sponsor Brentford FC oversaw the busy bees of Chiswick buzzing by the riverside.

MARY'S LIVING AND GIVING FOR SAVE THE CHILDREN

This year, we raised money for our friends on Chiswick High Road at Mary’s Living and Giving for Save The Children. There are 4.5 million kids living in poverty in the UK, and we are witnessing children in peril on our phones every day, from Gaza to Sudan and beyond. It has never felt more vital to try and do something to help the most vulnerable in the world. Save The Children has been doing crucial work at home and abroad for over 100 years.

THE HOGARTH COMMUNITY

The Hogarth community came together, and the spirit to help out was on display from everyone. Following a raffle prize draw and a silly K-Pop warm up on the tennis court – including a literal but unfortunate mic drop - the sea of red containing a record number of dogs gathered at the start line ready to be unleashed. The marshals were waiting out on the course, just grateful the conditions were friendlier this time. Your Elf and Safety team cheered on the runners, the walkers, the familiar and the confused. The route stayed north of the river this year as we went to Barnes Bridge, before turning back to Hammersmith and then back to Hogarth HQ for mulled wine, minced pies and some BBQ baps. An incredible effort all round, the Santa suited dogs in particular earned their medals. They have requested that next year the medals be made of bone.

There was a rival Turkey Run out and about, and they too must’ve been wary of the foul weather. Whereas their runners were really winging it, ours were made of the right stuff. Simon Rubens and Anna Beausire thighs were burning as they crossed the finish line first, winning a bottle of champagne each courtesy of our friends at Horton and Garton. Big thanks also to Killik and Co for supporting the event, where wealth management met health management. Another thank you to Northern Global FX for your continued support and joining us on the Santa Run. Everyone was invested in the event's success.

THANK YOU ALL

By the time everyone was back and mingling in the bar, the rain started pouring outside, and we were all in, snug and smug. Thank you to everyone who helped make 2025 happen and raise a record £3500 for Save The Children.

See you in 2026 for our Ho Ho Holy Moly 10 year anniversary!
