Support Chiswick House Fundraising Campaign
Support Chiswick House in raising much needed funds to keep the beautiful gardens maintained, clean and safe for everyone to use.
Chiswick House and Gardens are a much loved, perfectly formed 18th Century Palladian Villa nestled in 65 acres of multiple aware-winning gardens. It welcomes hundreds of visitors each day, even more now during this crisis, to enjoy their daily exercise in a beautiful green sanctuary. A very special place.
As with many organisations, Chiswick House has taken a hard financial hit by the pandemic. As a charitable organisation, they receive grants from the London Borough of Hounslow and English Heritage, but this only covers 25% of the everyday running costs of the estate.
The lost income is due to the cancellation of events and weddings - resulting in a shortfall of £500,000, even after many of the team have been furloughed and costs have been cut wherever possible.
The gardens have remained open every day and therefore, essential maintenance, litter picking and cleansing has had to continue which of course carries costs. From 22nd May, Chiswick House is launching a fundraising campaign to raise £120,000 by the end of September in order to contribute to the day to day running costs.
