The Hogarth Reindeer Run and Christmas Market 2021
Sunday 5th December saw The Hogarth's first ever Reindeer Run for partners Chiswick RNLI as well as a Christmas Market at The Airedale!
Come for the run, stay for the market.
Okay, maybe the mince pies and mulled wine too.
It was terrific to see so many warm and wonderful faces turning out this Sunday. Whether you had your athletic going for a PB gear on, were dressed as a full kit reindeer or indeed in your RNLI uniform we were all bound by our antlers as we gave the people of Chiswick a great show around the river.
It was a pleasure to host a fun event for our very worthy partners at RNLI Chiswick. They do a tremendous job looking out for people on the Thames and as we have all seen recently with the desperate people crossing the Channel too. They also more than did themselves proud at the event, with lots of support and providing two brilliant runners in complete RNLI outfits around the 7.5km course.
Spirits were running high throughout and every one of the participants earned their finisher’s medals, pies and wine, congratulations! They were marshalled around the course by Hogarth’s own supportive Santas and we managed to get almost everyone back without getting lost. An extra 2km never hurt anyone. All racers came through the finish line in the end and together we raised over £1,000 for the Lifeboats charity.
Seasoned Hogarth event goers will recall our previous festive Santa runs but what elevated this year further was the brilliant Christmas Market at The Airedale. A big thank you to our stallholders for helping many of us sort Christmas presents for our loved ones. I know my dad is gonna love lighting his nude candle. The fire pit was alive and well and the ambience was delightful.
A final big thank you to all our participants and guests who came from far and wide to join some of our regulars for a great day. It was a super atmosphere all round and we very much look forward to welcoming everyone back again next year!
