CLASS GUIDELINES

Class Guidelines for members during Covid 19

We are delighted to be able to offer outdoor and live streamed classes for maximum safety. High intensity exercises such as HIIT, Group Cycle and Body Conditioning will be outdoors on either tennis court or under our new outdoor exercise tent. The majority of our Indoor classes will also be accessible online live via Zoom, which you do not need to book. Read on for further information and instructions.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Class bookings are only for those who would like to attend a class at the club. If you have booked a class that you intend to access via Zoom, please cancel your bookings under 'My Bookings'.

• For Outdoor bookings, you can find exactly where your class will be held on our timetable here.

• Studios will be accessible via our new One Way system, to keep members a safe distance from each other. Find our One Way map here.

• Live streamed classes do NOT need to be booked and are unlimited to the amount of members that can join.

• Please bring your own mat and hand weights.

• Please be mindful of Social Distancing at all times and wear a mask when not exercising.

• Studios 1 and 2 have floor markers where each participant should locate themselves in the class so they are kept at a safe distance to other participants. (Reopening 17th May 2021).

• Our cleaning team will clean the studios as soon as the class is finished to complete their check list before the next class. DO NOT congregate after the class, please make your way to The Airedale Bar to socialise at a safe distance under government guidelines.

• Mats will not be provided in phase 1 of reopening, so please bring your own if you would like to use one for now. You are welcome to also bring your own hand weights to use in the class as we won't have any available for use in Phase 1.

• From 17th May 2021, Changing room slots can be booked in advance, online or with Reception.

• Please dispose of any used towels in the towel bins provided in the studios, outdoor or indoor gym. There is no longer a towel bin at Reception.

• Lost property items will be stored at the club for a maximum of 1 week.

HOW WE’RE KEEPING HOGARTH CLASSES SAFE:

OUTDOOR CLASSES

High intensity classes such as HIIT, Group Cycle and Body Conditioning have all been relocated outdoors on our tennis courts or decking area to reduce the aerosol effect. 10 minutes between court bookings has been allowed for safe entering and exiting the court.

SMALLER NUMBERS

To allow for safe social distancing, our studios have been marked with floor signage to provide more than four square metres per participant.

MORE TIME FOR CLEANING

Our superstar cleaning team can complete a thorough cleaning and sanitising of all surfaces in under 6 minutes, supported by Helios (our UV sanitising robot) where necessary, for total safety.

ONLINE BOOKING

In phase 1 of reopening, bookings will be mandatory for some of our busier classes. These are marked on our timetable with an asterisk (*). You will not be able to attend these classes without a booking.

Classes with no asterisk can be attended without a reservation, but if you want to guarantee your space, to avoid disappointment, advance bookings for all classes are available. We will be keeping a close eye on numbers and mark more classes with a * if necessary.

Subject to demand, and further easing of lockdown, we hope to return to drop-in classes with no requirement to book as soon as we can to maximise member convenience.

BEFORE YOU BOOK…

1. Consider whether you are ready physically and mentally to get out and onto the court. Consider your own personal risks and be able to confirm you are "fit" to play by confirming you have read and understood the Health Commitment Statement at https://www.thehogarth.co.uk/health-commitment-statement. You agree not to participate if you have any existing or new medical conditions. You understand that you exercise at your own risk and you are ultimately responsible for your own general health and wellbeing.

2. Are you experiencing COVID-like symptoms? Or have you recently been in close contact to anyone suspected or confirmed to have the virus? If so, it is absolutely vital that you stay indoors and self isolate at home to stop the spread of the virus and for you to fully recover.
