AA London Gallery will be hosting an Art Exhibition at The Airedale to showcase artists Lynn Young and Jane Vaux from 12th July until 30th September. Come and browse some beautiful original and affordable art. Please email ambi@thehogarth.co.uk for any art enquiries.

JANE VAUX

Jane's work varies from quite realistic to abstract depictions. Jane’s freestyle technique scans a broad range of subjects, with a special focus on light, movement and texture. The dominant media used is acrylic but Jane also likes to incorporate other mediums where appropriate such as pastels and charcoal.

Jane main subjects are seascapes, landscapes, and more recently cityscapes. She takes inspiration from her surroundings and where she lives.

Jane is a member of The Devon Artist Network, and Oxfordshire Artweek. Jane has had successful solo and shared exhibitions over the last ten years, in both Devon and Oxfordshire.

Jane holds independent art workshops and regular classes in her Studio and Gallery. These are small groups to ensure the atmosphere is unthreatening, relaxed and encouraging – this really seems to benefit her students in their creativity and growth. Jane also lectures and demonstrates at various art groups in her area.

Jane regularly undertakes commissions, and has successfully completed many over the last year.

As with any artist, Jane is constantly growing and learning more within her area of work. Jane’s inspiration is kept alive by the constant change in our landscape and the pleasure obtained by capturing some of its beauty.

LYNN YOUNG

Lynn has been commissioned by the British shirt company, Thomas Pink to create two window campaigns, from her Union Flag series, one being for the London Olympics/ Queen’s Jubilee.

"My current proudest moment has to be when they started using a pink Union Flag of mine in all of their stores globally, as part of their signature ‘codes’. It has sometimes been reproduced to several metres wide and tall. Thomas Pink also has half a dozen of my denim bulldogs keeping guard."

Lynn is currently creating abstract sea and landscapes. Living on an Island makes it hard not to be influenced by the beautiful surroundings and ever changing land/seascapes of our shores.
