Activity2019

Marina Stevenson

I've come to teach Pilates from a background in professional theatre, both as a dancer/performer and latterly in creative direction.
My formative years were spent training at Arts Educational School, Tring and the Royal Ballet School, from there I went on to perform with several classical ballet companies before working in musical theatre in London's West End and on International Tours. I have a Professional Dancers Training Diploma from the Royal Academy of Dance and have taught  and coached all dance genres throughout my career. Most recently I've been part of the Creative Team staging Phantom of The Opera and Cats worldwide.

I was first introduced to Pilates during my dancing career through injury and found it to be both remedially positive and very strengthening. My professional Pilates qualification was completed with Pilates Training Solutions.
My classes are intended to make Pilates accessible to all: helping to overcome injury, improve flexibility, and strengthen the body, such that we can all enjoy a healthier lifestyle. I'm delighted to be part of the Hogarth Instructor team and look forward to welcoming you to class
