Frequently Asked Questions
You can find our Reformer Pilates timetable here.
Members can book their class via the members' online booking portal. Please speak to the club reception if you haven't used this before.
If you’ve completed our health care declaration statement / PARQ and you don’t know of any reason you shouldn’t exercise, then our teachers will be able to gently introduce absolute beginners to reformer Pilates at The Hogarth. Similarly, the introduction/taster sessions are suitable for ALL abilities – including athletes and experts, our timetable provides choices for different kinds of Reformer Classes, from Essentials, Stretch & Flow, and Strength & Tone.
For your first class, we recommend arriving with enough time to check in at the main reception desk, store your bag in the main changing room, and find the studio. For health and safety reasons, as well as good class form, Grip socks must be worn by all Reformer class attendees. Laundered grip socks are available for Taster session only. We also recommend bringing water to stay hydrated.
Please check in before your class at The Hogarth Club main reception. From there, you can follow the signposted route down the corridor to the end by the pool, go up the stairs into and through The Hogarth MediSpa. Take a right turn at the end of the corridor and, before heading back down the stairs, take a final right turn into the new Studio.
After your FREE taster, classes will be chargeable at the time of booking either online OR via Club Reception. Classes are deliberately kept small, with a maximum of six participants, to ensure safety and quality. Members will enjoy a significantly discounted rate of £20 per 50-minute class, with further discounts for block bookings. Please note we do note accept American Express.
Introductory sessions will always be available and part of the main timetable when it becomes bookable from 16th February and starts from 24th February 2025. Additionally, a variety of reformer classes will be provided by our expert team under the banners of “Essentials”, “Stretch & Flow”, and “Strength & Tone”.

For Reformer cancellations, we ask that, out of courtesy to fellow members, you cancel the booking 24 hours in advance of your booking to free it up for another member to access. If a booking is not used or cancelled with less than 24 hours-notice, a purchased credit will be used for the member that made the booking.
Three late cancellations or no-shows in any 90 day period can result in the loss of advanced booking rights for 1 month.
The Hogarth Health Club reserves the right to pre-book facilities and restrict bookings made by members.
If you book a reformer class and do not attend this is termed a “no-show” a credit will be still be used for the session. This credit will be automatically taken from any credits you have purchased.
If you book a Free taster and you fail to attend, this will count as a “no-show” and counts as your free class. All classes thereafter are paid sessions.
If a member doesn’t attend a class due to poor health, as spaces are limited, we do still have to use a class credit. To avoid this, please do cancel with more than 24 hours notice. Of course, if a member has a serious illness or injury and becomes unable to use their prepaid reformer sessions, they should contact the membership team Via email at membership@thehogarth.co.uk so we can review any mitigating circumstances and establish whether an extension to the usual expiry date can be applied.
Reformer sessions can be purchased in packages, which vary in price and the period for which they are valid. Accordingly classes do expire if unused during the period they were purchased for.
If a member freezes their membership they cannot attend a reformer class. We have extended the expiry dates to accommodate members who freeze to allow them plenty of time and choice of quantity of sessions to be purchased to take up these sessions. It is the member’s responsibility to only purchase credits that are commensurate to the time they expect to make themselves available to attend classes.
Should your membership lapse, all credits will be lost. This is becuase the rate members pay is significantly less than will be available to non-members. For the avoidance of doubt, the credit value cannot be transferred to a non-member credit value.
Class packages cannot be shared.
When booking a reformer class package it is important to note that the credits purchased are not transferable or shared with another user / member. For the avoidance of doubt bookings are for an individually named member and cannot be apply to a couple membership.
Out of courtesy to other class members we ask that all attendees turn up to class on time. Lateness to a class risks disturbing the flow and experience for all attendees so once a class has started, access cannot be granted and a credit will still be taken.
Members can only attend reformer classes in the times their membership category allows them access to the core club facilities.
Please do not try and book a class outside of your membership access times as your class credit will be lost.
At this stage, bookings are exclusively for members to ensure we can meet demand. If availability allows in the future, non-member bookings may be introduced at approximately £35 per class, also with a discount for block bookings.
