Introducing Stretchworks

Is it Pilates? Is it Yoga? No …. It's Stretchworks!

If you have ever walked into one of Alison Evan’s classes you will know the calm caring effect that she has on everyone around her. With inspiring music and a positive empowering environment these classes named Stretchworks do exactly what the name suggests. They stretch you and they really work.

Teaching controlled stretching and strengthening exercises tailored to suit the individual Alison draws all ages and stages together time and time again. The winning combination of using every muscle of the body in conjunction with relaxing breathing techniques as well as Alison’s individual care and attention, makes Stretchworks the obvious choice for a workout which is second to none.

To an onlooker this all seems quite daunting to begin with. However regular attendees with first-hand experience of the Stretchworks phenomenon talk about their transformation with such conviction and a smile that says: ‘you have to discover it yourself to know what the magic is all about’.

What does it all really do I hear you ask? Well, Alison’s classes not only increase muscle strength but also provides a cathartic emotional release which enhances relaxation, and develops an inner-sense of well-being amongst a somewhat chaotic outer world.

Focusing on areas of the body to suit the individual, Alison covers lower back as well as spine & pelvic work, even foot & calf exercises that work towards increasing and maintaining flexibility.

Recommended by Osteopaths, Chiropractors and Physiotherapists across the UK, Stretchworks can be adopted as part of a rehabilitation program, a pre or post sporting activity, or even as an individual form of exercise.

With a new DVD launched and on sale this year you can sample a taste of Alison’s expertise at home or visit her Facebook page called 'Stretchworks' for photos of the DVD launch party or visit her website www.stretchworks.co.uk for more information.

Stretchwork classes at The Hogarth run every single day during the week from Monday – Friday at different times and levels for all stages.
