To support our wonderful partners at Chiswick RNLI, we will be hosting the RNLI's Summer Celebration this year, to honour the vital work of their crews on boat race day, and every day they launch to save lives on the river Thames. Join us in raising a glass for the RNLI crews and a lovely evening of celebrations! Members and non-members are invited.

RNLI's work at The Boat Race

Since 2002, alongside its work every day on the river Thames, the RNLI’s Chiswick lifeboat station has supported The Boat Race with its E-class lifeboat. The crew are on hand to keep The Boat Race competitors safe, as well as the thousands of spectators who line the banks of the Thames on race day. In 2016, the RNLI bolstered its lifesaving service with the addition of nine Arancia-class lifeboats crewed by lifeguards. These are strategically positioned along the Championship Course to keep the public safe while the tide is incoming.

This event will celebrate and thank our crew for their vital work keeping our city safe, as well as raising vital funds to keep our lifeboats afloat.
