Michaela Shirandami
Michaela is an experienced and fully qualified Anusara-inspired RYT Yoga Instructor registered with the International Yoga Alliance since 2006. She started practising Ashtanga Yoga in the late 90ies and tried various styles of Hatha Yoga during the following decade (Iyengar, Vinyasa, Kundalini, Jivamukti, Forrest) but chose to pursue ANUSARA Yoga as her teacher training because of its Universal Priniciples of Alignment and it’s heart oriented Tantric Philosophy.
Healing her own chronic illnesses through yoga became a life-changing experience and her classes reflect this personal truth with great humour and wisdom. She has since added AYURVEDA, SHADOW work, SHAMANIC practices, TANTRA and MEDITATION to her curriculum and continues to study with the best teachers in the world. She credits Patthabi Jois, Noah Maze, Sianna Sherman, Sally Kempton and Rod Stryker as her main influences.
Her background also includes an international degree in economics, Salsa Instructor, and Ballroom Dancing. She teaches high profile private clients and classes in the biggest yoga studios in London but absolutely loves the great community of her regulars at the Hogarth/Park Club. Her long standing following there appreciate her diversity, energy and inspiration.
