High-intensity interval training (HIIT) involves short bursts of intense exercise, sometimes with weights or can be bodyweight only. You give a series of exercises full effort for 30 to 60 seconds, and follow it with an even shorter period of rest. While exercising with this type of maximum effort is difficult, it does wonders for your health and has proved to effectively aid weight loss. Your body will be burning fat even after you've done the class!
